In the las t half of July, Dreyer and Vict or Herma nsen travelled the coun try to lo ok at s uitable churche s. They rese arched the detai ls and at Dreyer’s reques t a numbe r of technical changes we re made to the church es, in cluding the rem oval of porcelain holders for electrical wiring in Tveje Merløse Church. On 4 July, Dreye r went in a dvance to Ringk øbing. Sho oting was se t to star t a few days la ter with the arrival of the director o f photogra phy, Preben Frank, who had fallen o ff a lad der and br oken his leg, Fortuna tely, he was ready to cautiously start wo rking agai n within a few da ys, with h is leg in a c ast.
