• 详细介绍： This film is an extremely entertaining psychological thriller with Carrol Baker excellent as a rich American widow getting away from it all at a secluded Italian villa. Enter smart aleck down on his luck playboy, Lou Castel, who has some golddigging motives behind his slick hipster seduction techniques and has no qualms about how he gets what he wants. He encourages Baker&#39;s character's incipient alcoholism and dubious self-esteem, brings in his supposed &amp;#39;sister' to help drag Baker even further into a maze of sick mind games,  drug addiction and group sex,  all culminating in a descent into near-madness and self-destructive depravity. I won't give away anymore, suffice to say that the film delivers on its swinging sixties,  Euro sleaze ambience and psychological suspense thriller credentials in spades. Director Umberto Lenzi&amp;#39;s work has been, at best, uneven and he&amp;#39;s churned out his share of crap. However, he made some quite good giallos and crime pictures in the sixties and seventies and this is one of them (other good films by Lenzi -- SPASMO, SEVEN BLOODSTAINED ORCHIDS, ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON, to name only a few). Unfortunately this film is ofen confused with another okay but not-quite-as-good Lenzi film that was also released briefly here in America under the same PARANOIA title (but is more commonly known, especially on video, as A QUIET PLACE TO KILL). 详情
